Enjoy great music with Greystones Orchestra
Greystones Orchestra has been making music for the past 30 years and more. We are a multi-cultural orchestra with players from many countries, all with one language in common, the language of music. We perform several concerts during the course of the year, usually in north Co. Wicklow or south Co. Dublin, and play an eclectic range of orchestral music of all styles and genres from the 18th to the 21st centuries, from Bach to Bacharach.
Oboists needed!
We are urgently in need of two oboists for our upcoming term. Our programme includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 and Charles Gounod’s ‘Petite Symphonie’ which is scored for a wind ensemble of 9 players. We are conducted by Cillian O’ Breacháin and rehearse on a Monday night. Go to our Join Us page if you are interested.
We are a mixed ability orchestra and we warmly welcome new members. Perhaps you played years ago and would like to pick up your instrument again. Oboe, bassoon and brass players are always in demand! We rehearse every Monday night at 8pm in St.Patrick’s National School, Greystones. If you are interested in joining us, go to our Join Us page.
